One of the cleanest and most innovative designs I've seen in my 30+ years obsessing over banjos. Ryan Navey (Carolina Banjo Co.) also builds the lightest banjos I've ever played PLUS his fit and finish are as good as any instrument I've ever owned. Without question, this is the nicest fretless banjo I have ever played; it makes playing a genuine joy. I would not be selling if I did not have a partial fretless with lots of sentimental value.
If you even remotely like fretless or short scale banjos you will LOVE this instrument. 22" scale, 12" skin head, Pegheads geared tuners, brass no-knot. There's a significant wait for these
Condition: the only condition 'issue' is a professionally filled brass initial plate (of the original owner) - sort of a mastertone block - that was inlaid just above the scoop.
These banjos do not fit ordinary cases very well - BUT I found an as new tenor resonator case that I’m doing some little mods on so it will work perfectly. Will get pics of it in the morning (Friday, May 1)
