Offered here is a late 1980s Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard banjo from the highly regarded Greg Rich era—one of the most desirable periods in modern Gibson banjo production.

This example carries serial number 1394, placing it in the early production run. These early Rich-era instruments are well known for their build quality, tone, and consistency, and are increasingly sought after by players and collectors alike.

This banjo is all original, including hardware, finish, and the original hardshell case. It features the classic Hearts & Flowers inlay, Mastertone block, and the original Gibson label signed by Earl Scruggs.

Condition is great for its age. It has been well cared for and remains a strong, responsive player
