I built this banjo for myself in 2013. I loosely based the design on a combination RB-7 and RB-12 just because I liked the Art Deco look of the 30's. Pearl "bowties" with Abalone diamond inlays. All hand-cut inlays. I played it for several years and then decided to change out the pot and offer it up for sale. It now has a Cox Kentucky 5 tone ring and Cox 3-ply maple rim, fit by Adam Cox. Mahogany neck and resonator with multi-line bindings throughout. Keith tuners on all 4, 2 D-tuners on 2 and 3, and standard tuners on 1 and 4. 5-star fifth string tuner. Kershner tailpiece. Built as an art piece, but also to be a top-quality Bluegrass banjo. Crisp and punchy as you would expect from the Cox pot.
Comes with a rigid foam Superior case with humidistat built in.
I have this on consignment at Bentley Guitar Studios in Parkville, MO if you're in that part of the country. Otherwise, you can contact me through the Hangout, or call the store for more information.
