Taking this banjo out of the case to take pictures of it, I was kind of taken aback about how nice it is. Steve Huber and his team make some of my favorite banjos available and this is an example of why.
This banjo conforms with typical “G” style specs. Sunburst finish over the maple resonator and neck, gold plated hardware, and a rosewood fretboard.
I am told this particular instrument took a nasty fall and was returned to the Huber shop for a new neck. There is an imprint of another neck on the rim and there is a repaired crack by the heel cut in the resonator.
There are some occasional splotches on the gold hardware, but cleaning gold freaks me out so I’ll leave that to the next owner.
Please note I have another one of these made in 2012 for sale in these Banjo Hangout Classifieds for less money due to damaged finish.
Comes shipped in the original hard shell case. Thanks for looking and please reach out with any questions.
