I searched for an original Ashborn for many years before I bought this one a couple of years ago. I'm not using it so I've decided to move it along. The price represents what I have into it. James Hartel makes superb minstrel banjos in upstate New York. I'm not sure if he still offers the Ashborn model. This one is all maple construction with a 13 inch diameter pot. Serial number is 54 and it was completed in 2004. There are no signs of wear. Case is light weight but well padded .
