For Sale: THE Sonny Osborne Stelling "Sonflower" Prototype

This was Sonny Osborne's personal prototype "Sonflower" from Geoff Stelling in September 1979. This is a one-of-a-kind with the black binding, and heavily engraved armrest and tailpiece. This banjo can be seen in videos from the Osborne Brothers Live in Sweden and notably Sonny's video of the "Banjo Medley" seen over 1 million times. youtube.com/watch?v=kXCd_DC7FCQ Sonny used this banjo on fly dates from 1979 to 1981. It was then sold to Wayne Rice who donated it to the IBMA for a fund raising auction. This banjo can be seen on the Osborne Brothers "I Can Hear Kentucky Calling Me" album from 1980 and is available in its Stelling case.
