Due to being diagnosed with Dystonia I am unable to play the banjo. Therefore, I have decided to sell the remainder of my banjos.

The “Minerva Fink” is a POWERHOUSE original 1941 Gibson Style 7 Flathead.

F.O.N. F1871-5, was shipped on Feb. 13, 1941, again on March 21, and again after a repair on May 14, 1941 per Steve Huber.

Minerva Fink was the original owner of this banjo. She played in the “Fink Family Band” from Pennsylvania. They were featured on WASN radio broadcasts, performed at the World’s Fair, and were even booked at an event held at Madison Square Garden (this story is included from the family history that will come with the banjo). It has been my great privilege to be the caretaker of this instrument, and letting it go doesn’t come easy.

This banjo has been fully inspected by Steve Huber, and it will come with a letter of appraisal.

This banjo belonged to Chris Warner, and I purchased this banjo through Melvin Cumbee several years ago. When purchased it had a neck on it made by Mr. Warner, and I bought a Frank Neat neck from Melvin for this banjo at that time. I preferred the Neat neck which was fitted by Huber.

This banjo is original and very clean. None of the top tension bolts are stripped out, adjustable arm rest still retains its thumb screw, original wrist mute, pick guard, tenor neck (tuners were not with the banjo), Warner neck, Neat neck, Rickard tuners with tulip buttons, fully intact label, shiny face high profile full weight Flathead tone ring, tenor case, non original Pre War 5 string case (has been touched up by someone with black paint), and a Cross Rock case.

$49,000 as described

It comes with photographs of Ms. Minerva Fink with this banjo and written documentation from the Fink family as well.

Banjo is located in Maryville, TN , and I am willing to drive a reasonable distance to hand deliver.

Many more pictures available!
