I bought this Corky Wirick Custom made Woodsong Dove banjo a few years back with the intent to customize it with some extreme upgrades however; I didn't get around to doing anything with it due to I ended up getting a Gibson RB4 custom banjo that was already customized gold plated and engraved. Since acquiring the Gibson this banjo is just collecting dust and needs to be picked!
Corky Wirick designed and built this banjo for a person named Blair (he even inscribed a special note to Blair inside the resonator). I don't know any of the past banjo history.
This banjo has a rich balanced tone with beautiful custom heart, flowers, dove, olive branch and cross inlays on the fretboard / headstock. The neck ,rim and resonator wood is figured maple with white binding. The neck heal has a special made Cork heal cap on it.
The nickel plating is in good shape with the normal tarnish on the arm rest. Action is standard height. I believe the tail piece is a Kershner . I'm not sure what brand the tuners are. Case is included. If you require any additional information you may PM me.
