This is one of the late Ty Piper's very best banjo designs, IMO.
It weighs only about 8 oz more than a standard Gibson Mastertone.
It features a gorgeous curly maple neck and resonator, one-piece flange, 20-hole Mastertone-style flathead tone ring, 3-ply maple rim, dual coordinator rods, ebony fretboard with a beautiful MOP hearts and flowers style inlay pattern, all nickel plated hardware, Kershner tailpiece and 5-Star tuners. Spikes are installed at 7 and 9. Only minor fret wear showing.
The neck is slim, fast and very easy to play. Currently set-up with a Huber bridge and Remo USA head. Superb tone and playability!
Comes shipped in a vintage Superior hard case, also in very fine condition.
