For sale is my 1999 Deering Calico blonde curly maple banjo in very good to excellent condition. I replaced the original '99 Deering tone ring with a recent, no-hole Yates tone ring. According to Warren, these were made without a stamp/logo but it is one of his more recent rings. This banjo has the full range of volume with a depth of tone that I did not quite get from the original ring. It's as loud as you want without having to work hard at it and also has the tone that matches straight ahead picking or can be more toned down when backing someone up. Very minimal fret wear, has not had a 5th string capo installed before, no cracks/deep scratches or repairs, has some patina on the metal, has 5-Star Planet tuners all around, and does not have any spikes. Comes with a Deering hard case in very good to excellent condition.
