This lovely Pollmann mandolin banjo is a fairly high end model - Brazilian sides and back, a few extra board inlays and a fancy inlaid sound hole and pick guard. Condition is very good, original - original Champion tuners, original tailpiece, original peghead medallion which unfortunately has been cleaned removing much of the original wording. My repairman said that it's possible to create a transfer to overlay the medallion but this would be at the buyer's expense. The neck is straight and the instrument plays beautifully throughout the entire fingerboard. There are two tight back cracks which is common to rosewood of the period. It has the patent stamp ( 1887 ) on one of the back braces. Includes a used hard shell case with one broken latch.
