A prime example from the golden age of Boston banjo-making, this is both a fine player and a collector's piece with desirable specifications (10-3/4" diameter X 26" scale length). Tortoise-bound exterior of black-painted rim, outfitted with the fabled scalloped Electric tonering; Fairbanks plaque, model stamps, matching serial numbers present; original No Knot tailpiece, wire armrest present. Mahogany neck w/ ebony fretboard, fancy pearl inlay w/ engraving present; equipped with original plated metal friction tuners (in the case) w/ grained ivoroid buttons. Gotoh tuners installed. Some finish dings and scratches present, as well as checking peghead overlay; "frailing-wear" present upper positions of frets. Also this banjo is in its original case.
