This is a Gibson 2004 RB-100 Banjo with a 3-ply maple rim, maple neck and resonator and has the ox blood finish.
The banjo is in excellent condition. It has had a recent professional setup by an excellent well known NC luthier. It has a great low action, plays extremely well, and sounds fantastic up and down the neck.
I am an elderly player and I purchased the banjo in part because of its relatively light weight (8-9 lbs). The banjo delivers the pleasing crisp tone, and the desired sustain you expect with a Gibson maple banjo.
The banjo is in original like new condition and has railroad spikes at the 7th and 9th frets. The banjo ships in a padded hard shell Guardian Case.
