1980 Tokai T850R 5-string Banjo
The Tokai banjos were the predecessor to the early Goldstar Japanese banjos from this time period and were modeled after the Gibson Mastertone RB-250 Banjos, and were also considered to be superior to the them due to Gibson's poor quality controls during that time period.

This T-850R has a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, three ply-maple rim, and a maple laminate resonator with mahogany veneer. The 20 hole tone ring of this model is made of brass die-cast.
