Thank you all for the great insights! Based on all of the responses that I've been getting to my initial inquiry, it seems like this is somewhere in the $800-1200 range from group feedback. Looks like the last ones to sell were on the lower end of that so I'm asking $900. I also appreciate the moderator's patience as I figure this site out!
Selling with a hard case, misc picks, and a capo. This was primarily a "wall hanger" for nearly 20 years and was only played at church on Christmas and Easter prior to being gifted to me in 2020. Since then, it's spent another four years hanging on display and not being played/appreciated. Shipping or pick up in Michigan. For more details, please see the initial inquiry below:
I have a Flatiron Montana Rose Banjo built in September of 1988, according to an employee of Weber Acoustics. It has a “mahogany neck and resonator, 1/2” 9-ply maple rim, dot-inlaid rosewood fingerboard, rolled brass tone ring, and a bracket shoe with one-piece plate flange.” Again, all according to that employee upon inquiry. I’ve been reaching out to a number of companies and people, including Bruce Weber himself, to get any information I can, but an appraisal seems to be where my luck stops. While I’m sure Guitar Center is great, I’m hesitant to take this in and would rather see what this group thinks. If anyone has insights on what it may be worth, please feel free to drop me a note! It appears to be in good shape with only some wear on the head which I’m guessing is common.
