This is a custom built by Jim Yarboro from Gun Barrel City, TX. Jim is well known in the banjo luthier world.
This is Yarboro #11, and it's a pro-quality banjo in every way. It features a dark finish mahogany neck, ebony fretboard with custom binding, MOP inlay, one-piece flange, 3-ply maple rim, Steve Ryan 20-hole flathead tone ring, Presto tailpiece, dual co-rods, mahogany resonator with dual concentric rings and matching dark finish. There are 5th string capo spikes at 7, 9 and 10.
There is some buckle rash on the resonator and a spot or two showing finish wear on the back of the neck. The nickel plated hardware shows normal tarnishing for its age. The frets show only minimal wear.
The banjo plays great and sounds great and is freshly set up. Needs nothing but your strap.
Comes with a cool tweed hard shell case.
