I've had this VERY nice old Saga bluegrasser for years it looks to be used little (certainly not by me, I'm a flogger). Cosmetically, it is excellent except for a solid (just noticeable peghead repair). It is heavy-almost 12 pounds-with the two-piece flange, 20-hole tone ring, and laminated rim. The resonator is beautiful. This banjo sounds outstanding! I think it was marketed back in the '80s, probably MIJ (please check your old Saga catalogs) as it is very well done with nice inlays, a great neck' and good hardware. To my mind, it will blow away any other `grasser' in the under $1k range. Again, the professional neck repair is totally solid and should be no problem ever. The case, also, is like new. Ask any questions or provide me with information. Thanks, Paul
