I am listing this banjo for a friend. Here we have for sale a 1929/1930 OPF style 3 prewar Gibson banjo for sale. It has a mahogany Frank Neat neck, flying eagle / Reno pattern inlays. It has the original pancake grover tuners. Remo Head, Snuffy Smith bridge. All metal and wood parts are original to the banjo. Spikes at A, B flat, and B. Currently has a Kulesh / McPeake full height flathead ring. Punched presto. 5th string button matches the others. Obviously anyone can see the FON is 9489, I'll give the full FON to any interested parties. This banjo sounds and plays great!
Comes with the Guardian "poor mans calton" case seen. This banjo was bought from Jim Mills some years back and also included is the statement of originality from Mr. Mills. Price may be negotiable a bit. If any additional info or pics are needed, send me a msg thru the hangout or call my cell phone at 540 908 - 9418. Also if anyone would be interested, this banjo will be at Banjothon' in 2025, for those who may wish to have a closer look and give it a test drive. Thanks!
