BANJO HANGOUT FOLKS:

i have LOWERED the Reserve, and dropped the BUY IT NOW price on this banjo.

Regarding this eBay auction for a fine GEORGE WUNDERLICH banjo:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150339825757

I'd be delighted to give you BHO preferential treatment.
If a BHO member commits to buy the banjo, I will halt the eBay auction.
I will offer the banjo to BHO members for $850 shipping included.

a Wonderful, historically correct, modern minstrel style banjo made by George Wunderlich.

George has captured the characteristics of a banjo built sometime during 1855-1865, memorialized in a famous Civil War photograph of sailors aboard the USS Hunchback:

 12" flat style hoop

 walnut neck

 real skin head

 rosewood tailpiece

 pine bridge

 frets scribed onto neck

This is Wunder banjo #94 and the first reproduction Hunchback model made of the original.
It is strung it with new Nylagut strings and comes with a TLK bluegrass banjo case modified slightly to accommodate this banjo.
This is a historically correct, beautiful sounding modern banjo with a distinguished, deep voice, and great architectural features.
Listen to its voice on "Andrew Jackson, Go Back Home" on the BHO jukebox by Mary Cox.
