This was my dad's banjo. I love banjo music, but don't play it, so its for sale. It is one of those higher end Stew Mac kits from the 70's, with great quality components. Nicely finished mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod at heel, rosewood headstock face and fingerboard with mother of pearl dots, beech hoop, and massive tone ring, 5-star head, mahogany lam. resonator. Five star planetary tuners for main strings, friction fit tuner for 5th string, sliding 5th string capo. Frets recently leveled, crowned and polished, with plenty of life left in them. Action set at 5/64" at 12th fret -- easy to set higher if you like. Plays very nicely (to a guitarist) and sounds great - very loud, but with the adjustable tailpiece it can be set from bright and snappy to quite mellow. New John Pearse strings. Original case in good shape is included. Buyer pays actual shipping cost determined based on location.
