A 1936 TB-3 archtop with a rare Bella Voce headstock. Vintage Instruments in Philly believes it is a style 75, but Steve Huber feels it is a style 3. I'll agree with Steve and list it as a TB-3. Everything is original except the armrest and hanger bolt. It is very solid. The flange has only modest pull, and the nickle hardware has normal pitting. The rim is not cut. I played it as a 5-string with a Huber conversion ring and neck, and it sounds great (a huge 4th string). I returned it to a tenor to sell, but if you are interested in the neck and/or ring let me know and maybe we can work something out. The only reason I'm selling is that I was lucky enough to pick up a flathead that I play now. It belongs in a player's hands. I've priced this $2500 below where it would have easily sold a year ago.
Ok...I'm willing to throw in the neck and Huber ring for anyone who is interested. This is the same serial series as the Style 75 currently on ebay (listed 6/5/08)...Only the one I'm selling is $1100 less. I know you will love the sound. Thanks
