This is a rare Barnes & Mullin Perfect No.2 5 strings Zither banjo.
The original Rim was out of round so I replaced it with a new mamhogany rim using the original dimensions.
I re install the original walnut back plate.
The nickle plated brass hardware is all original except for the new grover tuners installed to provide precise tuning.
Nickle plating is wear of on the top of the brackets that sit on the wood rim.
The Walnut neck with the original finish is straight as an arrow. I had to remove and re install the fretboard that was partially unglued from the neck.
The neck, frets and head show very little wear marks. Probably the Original goatskin 8 3/4'' head
I set the banjo with top quality Clifford Essex Zither banjo special strings to ensure the original zither banjo sound.
Great playability and authentic Zither banjko sound
