New walnut and cherry 5 string open back banjo with 11" pot and a unique wood tone ring of cherry. I wanted a light weight and fancy banjo, so I minimized the use of metal parts. The tension hooks seat in a ledge turned into the rim and the pot and neck are held together with an ebony wedge. The shellac finish has a matte appearance and is silky to the touch. The inlays have a hunting theme with an arrow, boar's head and prints, a star, and a deer antler. It is a very beautiful and fine sounding instrument!
