I had Arthur build me this banjo in 2008. I already had a Deering Goodtime to practice on while I was taking lessons. I bought the Hatfield to save until I learned to play. Unfortunately, I realize I will never be able to play. My Hatfield banjo rests in its case unplayed. It is still unused after all this time. I would like to sell it to someone who can play this beautiful banjo. I put a Huber strap on it. I have two bridges, one is regular spaced and the other is crow spaced. I have two truss rod covers, the one that Arthur put on it and one made of Pre-ban elephant ivory. This banjo was basically a Celebrity in structure, but I ordered it nickel plalted rather than gold plated. Also, I had Arthur make it more of a traditional color rather that the orangish color of the celebrity. The neck is striped maple and the resonator is beautiful quilted maple. The fretboard is rosewood. My name is inlayed in the fretboard but I believe it can be changed to your name for about $75. I am pricing this at more than a $500 loss because I want it to find a good home. I live in a small town about 25 miles north of Nashville, TN. I will not ship the banjo. I want an interested buyer to pick it up. You can play it and be sure you like it before you pay for it.
