I've had this banjo for a couple of years but I've realised fretless/flush fret (or semi fretless) is not for me so it's not getting played and it's time to let it go to a new home.

The pics can tell you more about the instrument than I can.

I'm not the first owner and someone has been slighly rough in the past which has led to the odd dent particularly across the top of the peg head. I have tried to capture any blemishes and have, if anything, over emphasised what actually is quite minor.

About a month after I got the banjo I realised there was something not quite right and discovered the dowel stick was broken at the neck joint. This was presumably done in transit. I got my local luthier to replace the stick which he did after emailing and consulting with Doc. My luthier has replaced it with straight grain maple and has done a lovely job of matching the colour as to you can see.

The banjo is currently strung with Nylgut, apart from the fifth, which is a Waverly "2-Band" Classic type of tuner and is too tight to take nylgut. I was thinking about replacing the tuner but haven't got round to it. It would be an easy job as the 5th peg is only quite loosely fitted.

It's a lovely handmade banjo but just doesn't suit my style of play.
