1962 Gibson RB-170 openback banjo with hard case. Serial #52606

Mahogany neck, 3/4" 3-ply maple rim, original brass tone hoop, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, single coordinator rod, nickel plated hardware.

The banjo is set-up with a no-knot tailpiece and an Elite Fiberskyn head. Has upgraded 5-Star brand tuners, including the planetary geared fifth. Neck has a small repair and was redone to more of a matte finish. (See pics.)

Great for old time/clawhammer, and light enough for traveling. It's also an excellent candidate for a tone ring/resonator conversion.

Only $750 + shipping. Three day return policy applies.
